BPC-157 Reconstitution Calculator

Calculate BPC-157 concentration after adding bacteriostatic water. Enter your vial size and water volume to see mcg per unit on your syringe.

The calculator provided accepts two inputs: your vial weight in mg and the amount of bacteriostatic water that you are planning to add. The output will be in micrograms per unit on a standard insulin syringe. The reason we have created this calculator is that mathematicians can make even simple mistakes, making the entire process very difficult for experienced researchers.

How the BPC-157 Reconstitution Calculator Works

Peptide reconstitution calculator
Concentration-mcg per mL
Volume to draw-mL
Mark on the syringe-units
Draws per vial-
Arithmetic only: concentration = amount / volume. For laboratory reference, not medical advice.

Input the number of peptide (the number displayed on label on the vial, which is typically either 5 mg or 10 mg) and amount of bacteriostatic water you plan to use. In this case, the calculator will divide the total micrograms of peptides to be injected with the total number of units in the syringe to calculate concentration per unit. A typical U-100 insulin syringe has 100 units in 1ml, so 2mls of bacteriostatic water would make it 200 units.

Reconstitution Math Explained

The way to calculate this is quite simple: Take the number of micrograms present in the vial and divide this by how many units of water that have been added.

The Formula

Concentration (mcg per unit) = (vial mg x 1000) / (water ml x 100)

One milligram equals 1,000 micrograms. One milliliter of water in a U-100 syringe equals 100 units. Those two conversions are the entire calculation.

Example With a 5mg Vial

A PeptideGod BPC-157 5 mg vial with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water: 5,000 mcg divided by 200 units equals 25 mcg per unit. Each tick mark on the syringe represents 25 mcg of BPC-157.

Example With a 10mg Vial

A Real Peptides BPC-157 10mg vial with 2ml of water has a dosage of 10,000mcg divided by 200 units making 50mcg per unit. Same water mass but doubled concentration.

Vial SizeWater AddedTotal Unitsmcg per Unit
5 mg1 ml10050
5 mg2 ml20025
5 mg3 ml30016.7
10 mg1 ml100100
10 mg2 ml20050
10 mg3 ml30033.3

Increasing the amount of water decreases the concentration per unit but facilitates small readings on the syringe. Decreasing the amount of water increases the concentration but condenses the measurements. In either case, both the options lead to accumulation of the same peptide in the vial.

Bacteriostatic Water Options

The company Real Peptides is offering 10 ml of USP bacteriostatic water for $4.80 in their sale. The bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% of benzyl alcohol as a preservative that prevents the growth of microbes after puncturing the vial. One 10 ml vial is sufficient enough for a number of reconstitutions. The bacteriostatic water that has not been used should be kept in a cool place and protected from sunlight. If it has not been opened, the usage period is 28 days from the moment when it has been opened. The shelf life should be checked with the instruction.

Important Notes

BPC-157 is marketed as a research compound and has not been given any approval for use in humans by any governing organization. The calculations for reconstitution mentioned above pertain to laboratory procedures for making a solution with a known molarity. This should not be interpreted as an indication that this compound can be used without the supervision of a qualified professional.

When contemplating the use of any peptide product, one should discuss it with a licensed healthcare professional who can assess your condition and give proper guidance.

FAQ, BPC-157 Reconstitution

How much water do I add to a 5mg BPC-157 vial?

It relies on the quantity you wish to achieve. For example, in a situation where you decide to mix 2 ml of bacteriostatic water with a 5 mg vial, then you would obtain 25 mcg in every unit for a U-100 syringe. If 1 ml is mixed, the amount of mcg per unit changes and it will be 50 mcg. The calculator above allows you to play with quantities.

What concentration do I get with 2ml of water?

A 5 mg vial along with 2 ml of water gives you a total of 25 mcg of the solution per unit. In the case of a 10 mg vial along with 2 ml of water, you will have 50 mcg of the solution available per unit. The step-by-step buying guide helps you through the entire process of ordering.

Can I use sterile water instead of bacteriostatic water?

The preservative content is absent in sterile water, hence the vial should not be accessed more than once. Bacteriostatic water which contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol makes multiple entries possible. It can be used for studies concerning multiple withdrawals from the same vial.

How long does reconstituted BPC-157 last?

The reconstituted BPC-157 may be kept in a fridge, between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius, and is to be used within about 28 days. The lyophilized (unreconstituted) powder is more stable and can be left at room temperature for longer. It is important to also check the storage instructions provided by the vendor on the product page.
